Day 14 (last walking day): Largs to Skelmorlie

Day’s total kms: 15.5km

The day was absolutely gorgeous! Sunny with a breeze when we needed one. Dad surprised me this morning with the suggestion that we do the high path, which is 14.5km rather than 11km. Great idea! The view we had was stunning!

We started from the apartment at 9am and got to the Wemyss Bay bus stop in Skelmorlie at 3:15pm.

Magnus the Viking
High or low road…we took the high road.
The trail goes through some lovely neighborhoods.
We spiraled our way up Knock Hill
Incredible views!
On the top!
If you zoom in between us, you can see Aisla Craig, the island that was with us the first week (where curling stones come from).
Fox Glove
We came down the steep path.
Through the fields (see the hill behind? That’s where we were).
Waaaay up there.
3 miles left.
Country roads
Secret with a big sign.
Fox and Cubs
Humpty Dumpty
Skelmorlie Castle
Fleur de lis
Koo
Closing in!
There’s the end!
Woohoo! We did it!
Back in Largs, we sat and enjoyed the gorgeous weather with a well earned beer. Yum! Well done, Dad!

Tomorrow, we head back to Glasgow, and the day after, to our homes. Feeling so much gratitude for this opportunity.
