A Call from my Ancestors

A new call to walk has been heard and honoured. This time, it is the Ayrshire Coastal Path, one of Scotland’s Great Trails. The area is apparently where Wallaces hail from. A quick Internet search provides links to the area, including narratives of the Wallace connections. My dad also heard the call, and we are meeting in Glasgow on Sunday, June 23. In two days! I’m so blessed.

Look at the map closely to find Sandy Wallace (or Wallace Sandy).

To help plan the trip, I used Ayrshire Coastal Path; the official guide book by James A Begg and Gillian Walks. For our last day, I also used the hiking map app Visarando, recommended by Gillian. I wish I had used it from the start.
