June 28. Day 1: 19.4 kms

We walked a total of 19.4km today and started the trail at the Pilegrimssenter (we walked from the hotel). Now, we are staying at a basic hytta (hut) called Sæteren Gård. The weather was perfect (overcast in the morning and sunny in the afternoon).

My leg muscles are tired but aside from that, my achy knee, and a small head and neck ache this morning, the rest of me is grand. I’m so lucky!!

Returning to this stone for Day 1 of full walking. Pilegrimssenter Oslo.
Sign in the Pilegrimssenter.
The first half of the day was in the city. It was difficult to stay focused on the signposts for the trail with all the stimuli, traffic, construction, people….
Vigelandsparken
What is this cool plant?!
Some signposts are trickier to find than others!
Farts…it never gets old.
Home for the night
Dinner!
After dinner, we were sitting quietly, Chin-Yu on the phone with one of our bookings, when two regrets came exploring in our area of the camp. I watched as they went into our outhouse, and then, when they actually had the nerve to open the door to our hut, I roared like a troll! They were so scared that they ran away and didn’t even shut the door behind them! 😂
